Police are searching for a man linked to an apparent Thanksgiving day shooting in the vicinity of a housing complex for the U.S. Coast Guard in the North Bay.
Novato police arrived around 6:30 p.m. at the Coast Guard’s 121-unit housing site for a reported shooting. No victims were seriously injured, police said in a statement. The incident began after uniformed and armed security guards for the Coast Guard spotted a man believed to be trespassing and began pursuing him on foot.
During the chase, the security guards heard what sounded like gunshots, and a 40-year-old security guard fell down. Medics checked the guard for injuries and determined he required no further treatment. No additional injuries were reported, police said…
