Units from the Santa Rosa Fire Department were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Peterson Ln just north of Piner Rd just before 1 am. The first engine arrived on scene in under 4 minutes and found a well-established fire burning in the garage of a 2-story house with the residents out front. The first arriving engine upgraded the assignment bringing an additional engine and fire investigator to the scene. Crews mounted an aggressive fire attack using multiple hose lines while protecting the interior spaces from fire spread. Crews were sent inside to search for victims and verified that everyone was out.
The fire was declared under control in 20 minutes. The fire damage was limited to the garage with smoke damage to the interior spaces. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents…
