Driver arrested in Santa Rosa crash that left 2 critically injured on Christmas

(KRON) — A man was arrested days after a Santa Rosa hit-and-run crash left two people with significant injuries on Christmas, the Santa Rosa Police Department announced Monday.

Police responded Thursday just after 6:30 p.m. to the crash at Fourth Street and Bryden Lane. Witnesses to the collision told 911 that a Chevrolet Suburban and a Volkswagen Beetle were involved, and that the occupants of the Beetle were trapped inside the car with major injuries.

Arriving officers located the vehicles at the scene and determined that the driver of the Suburban had fled prior to their arrival.
