(KRON) — An enormous redwood tree fell on top of a Sonoma County family’s house, smashed through the roof, and landed within feet of a 3-year-old child’s crib, according to reports. Miraculously, everyone inside the house escaped without major injuries.
The tree fell in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve while an atmospheric river-powered storm lashed the Bay Area with heavy rain. Gusts blowing at 89 mph were recorded in the coastal ranges of Sonoma County, the National Weather Service said.
