Holiday revelry is over but dangers of binge drinking are not, North Bay experts warn

With New Year’s Eve celebrations behind us, many revelers are assessing the toll from weeks of holiday drinking. Some are even taking their first steps into Dry January.

But many will continue to drink beyond the holidays, and some who do stop temporarily often rebound into binge drinking.

The good news is that younger people are drinking less alcohol than previous generations of youth. The bad news is young people who do drink are drinking in greater quantities than before, leading to earlier signs of alcohol-related health problems…
