Lingering high water continued to snarl traffic across Marin County on Monday, after weekend flooding inundated hundreds of homes and businesses and forced backups along major roads and highways.Officials said Monday that flooding closed a Highway 101 northbound exit to the Highway 1 off-ramp and the southbound exit at Lucky Drive. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and expect delays through about 4:30 p.m. Another southbound exit was briefly closed at Seminary Drive but opened again after flooding subsided.
Amid the deluge Monday, officials also closed some roads that run between Sonoma and Napa, including Highway 121 at junctions with Eighth Street East and with Highway 116. Highway 12 was also closed at Watmaugh Road. Drivers were advised to use Napa Road to Leveroni Road to SR-116 as an alternate route, according to the CHP.
