(KRON) — A 74-year-old Santa Rosa man has died days after a hit-and-run collision on New Year’s Eve that left him hospitalized on life support, according to Santa Rosa Police Department.

The victim, identified as Geary Wade Grady, succumbed to his injuries Tuesday afternoon, wrote SRPD in a statement to KRON4.
SRPD said officers responded at 7:13 p.m. on Dec. 31 at Morgan Street and College Avenue to investigate a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian. The suspected driver fled the area but was later arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail where they face a charge of a felony hit and run with serious bodily injury.
