A 4.0-magnitude quake struck Sonoma County and shook nearby areas in Northern California early Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter was recorded just after 12 a.m. at 7.6 miles west-southwest of Cloverdale, or 8.5 miles east of Cobb in Lake County.
