1 killed, 2 injured in head-on crash in Sonoma County

A fatal multi-vehicle crash closed a stretch of Adobe Road west of Petaluma for several hours early Friday, disrupting the morning commute as authorities investigated.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Adobe and Frates roads shortly before 5:50 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Multiple vehicles were involved, including a red Tesla and a blue Honda CR-V, which were left blocking lanes of traffic, authorities said.

The Sonoma County coroner was notified, authorities said, suggesting at least one person was killed. Another person was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries. No information about the victims’ identities was immediately released…
