Magnet fisher finds suspected explosive device in lake on Sonoma State campus

A suspected explosive device was discovered Wednesday evening in a lake at Sonoma State University, campus officials said.

The device was found about 5:45 p.m. in the northwest section of the campus lakes, according to the Sonoma State University Police Department. Officers were alerted by a community member who was magnet fishing and contacted campus police after pulling up the object, authorities said.
