(KRON) — A K9 officer helped two deputies locate a briefcase in a vehicle’s trunk with around nine pounds of suspected methamphetamine, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.
SCCO said the discovery happened during a consented narcotics search of the car after it was pulled over near Highway 37 at Lakeville Highway. The sheriff’s office did not specify the time and date of the incident.
Deissy Rodriguez-Mondragon, 24, and Dionicio Navarro, 23, were both arrested and face several charges, including possession of narcotics for sale, transportation of narcotics, and conspiracy. Both were booked into the Sonoma County Jail, and later released on zero bail, officials said.
