Off-duty CHP officer saves CAL FIRE firefighter’s life

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (KOLO) – On Friday, Feb. 6, off-duty Santa Rosa area California Highway Patrol (CHP) Officer Tyler Lenaburg and his fiancée, Taylor, were driving in Placer County and witnessed a Jeep hit a Harley-Davidson motorcycle throwing the rider 100 yards, according to a Wednesday, Feb. 25, CHP – Auburn Facebook post.

The incident happened at 5:58 p.m. on northbound Fiddyment Road at Sunset Boulevard when a Jeep turned left into the motorcycle’s left side, the post said.

Lenaburg applied a tourniquet to a life-threatening injury to his left leg, while his fiancée called 911, the post said…
