833 roosters seized in alleged cockfighting operation in Sonoma County

Sonoma County authorities seized 833 roosters this week while serving a search warrant at a rural Santa Rosa property in what investigators described as a suspected cockfighting operation.

The warrant was executed on the 3000 block of Stony Point Road by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, Sonoma County Animal Services and code enforcement officers, according to authorities.
