(KRON) — A man who police say kidnapped a 3-year-old child in Novato Wednesday has been arrested and charged, according to the Novato Police Department. Officers responded at 10:30 a.m. to a report of a disturbance on Martin Drive.
At the scene, officers learned a disturbance between family members had taken place, resulting in the suspect kidnapping a 3-year-old child. The suspect was identified as Benjamin Buckley, 39, of Novato.

Buckley, police said, was known to the child, although they did not specify his relationship. He reportedly left the area with the child in a silver Saturn sedan.
Novato PD dispatch issued a countywide be-on-the-lookout and initiated the protocol for a countywide roadblock to law enforcement partners. While police were in the process of issuing an Amber Alert, a Novato PD officer on patrol spotted Buckley and the child exiting the Saturn on Center Road around 11 a.m., according to police.
Buckley was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for kidnapping, child abuse, and elder abuse, police said. The child was found unharmed and reunited with their parents…
