The crash happened around 11:34 PM on Monday on River Road, and first responders rushed the injured pedestrian to a local hospital, where they remain in critical condition. Investigators later found vehicle parts scattered along the roadside, pieces they hope will point them straight to the truck that took off.

CHP Santa Rosa investigators are asking anyone who recognizes that kind of truck or who was driving in the area at the time to contact the CHP Santa Rosa Area Office at 707-806-5600.
