Quiet Kentfield Office Move Puts Marin Agents on Notice

City Real Estate has slipped across the bridge into Marin County, quietly planting a flag in Kentfield with a small new office and absorbing two well-known local brokerages into its operation. The San Francisco boutique says the move pulls seasoned Marin teams under one independent brand and lays the groundwork for a rapid push across the county.

According to The Real Deal, City Real Estate leased space at 636 College Avenue in Kentfield as part of a merger that brings Alamere Real Estate and Tam Realty under the City umbrella. Together, the two Marin outfits notched about $123 million in sales volume last year, the outlet reported.

Alamere is set to rebrand as The Narodny Team, led by Alexander and Karin Narodny along with Ashley Boteler and James Schalich, per Alamere Real Estate. Tam Realty, founded by Kira and David Swaim and counting Drew Howes among its agents, will operate as The Tam Team, according to Tam Realty.

Big Volume Targets And Growth Plans

City expects its Marin production to jump to roughly $200 million this year, up from about $40 million previously, and is projecting its Marin agent roster to grow to 20 to 25 by the end of the year. The firm, which it says topped $1 billion in sales last year after recording $650 million the year before, has set a longer-term target of $500 million in Marin sales volume, per The Real Deal.
