(KRON) — A Petaluma man was arrested Saturday after shooting his roommate in the leg, according to police. The victim allegedly told authorities that the shooting was an accident.
The Petaluma Police Department responded at 8:04 p.m. to the 1600 block of Baywood Drive after the victim called 911 to report that he had been shot. Arriving emergency services found the victim outside of the home suffering from one gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The roommate who allegedly fired the gun, identified as 53-year-old Michael Millane, was taken into custody without incident, police said. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for negligent discharge of a firearm.
“The suspected firearm used in the incident was later recovered by officers,” Petaluma PD said. “The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.”…
