The Healdsburg Museum is grateful for five decades of outstanding community support. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary all year with free special exhibitions and programming. The Healdsburg Museum has strived to provide excellent stewardship of the community’s history and heritage and, with your support, we will continue to elevate local history for the next 50 years and beyond.
This year, “History Lives,” the museum’s major fundraiser dinner and auction, takes place at Appellation Healdsburg on Friday, May 8. The recipients of the Museum’s Pioneer Award at the event will be Mike and Erika McGuire, a history-making couple with deep roots in the community. Mike McGuire is a third-generation Northern Californian whose family farmed prunes and grapes in Alexander Valley. His career in public service began at age 19 when he was elected to the Healdsburg School Board. Mike served on the Healdsburg City Council and the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors.
