Normandie Turns Up the French Drama on Downtown Napa’s Main Street

Downtown Napa just got a little more theatrical. Normandie, a French-influenced restaurant built around a dedicated martini bar and tableside service, has opened its doors on Main Street. The room leans into classic Continental showmanship, with soufflés, flambés, and carved-for-two mains sharing the spotlight with a wine program that mixes Champagne and Bordeaux labels with local Napa producers. The restaurant, which opened two weeks ago, is pitching itself as both a neighborhood hangout and a destination for out-of-towners.

As reported by the Napa Valley Register, Normandie celebrated its grand opening on March 23 and is led by co-owners Malgorzata “Maggie” Kalan and Koray Yatkinoglu. The owners say they are aiming squarely at locals, right down to a posted $25 corkage fee. The paper also notes that the martini bar may deploy liquid nitrogen to keep select cocktails at a razor-sharp chill.

The idea is to give diners both Old World pairing options and home-turf bottles for wine-country meals.

Hours, pricing and reservations

Normandie lists seven-day service with lunch, dinner, and a Sunday brunch, and shows pricing in line with other downtown spots, according to its public listing on OpenTable. The restaurant is taking reservations for indoor seating and outdoor tables when the weather cooperates, positioning itself for spring celebrations and a steady stream of visitors…
