“In a Landscape” Outdoor Piano Concert Series Returns to Inland and Coast

An utterly unique classical piano experience is returning to Mendocino and Sonoma Counties. Pianist and founder of In a Landscape, Hunter Noack, will perform at the Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen, May 22nd and 23rd, Campovida in Hopland on May 24th, Fort Ross State Historic Park on May 25th, The Sea Ranch Lodge on May 27th, and the Ford House Visitor Center and Museum on May 28th. Local sponsors for the events include Visit Ukiah, The Thatcher Hotel, the Fort Ross Conservancy, Jack London Park Partners, the Sea Ranch Lodge, and Stock Farm Hotel.

Noack and his team have redefined how audiences experience classical music, leaving the traditional concert hall behind. Noack performs on a 1912, 9-foot Steinway Model D concert grand piano, which travels to venues on a flatbed trailer. He brings live music into forests, deserts, coastlines, national parks, and other outdoor locations.

Audience members wear wireless headphones, allowing them to simultaneously immerse themselves in the music and landscape. This is Noack’s 11th season. He’s performed 355 concerts for over 95,000 people, with over $100,000 in free tickets disbursed annually.
