Sarasota and Manatee County residents are invited to trade their everyday routine for a day full of Caribbean culture, craft cocktails, and live music when Piña Colada Fest 2026 takes over The Palmetto Marriott Resort and Spa on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Presented by Coco López and The Palmetto Marriott Resort, the festival promises the best Caribbean experience in the Gulf Coast region.
The piña colada was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero invented the summer’s favorite drink. His creation spread from the island to the world, and the Piña Colada Fest honors that rich heritage by bringing the spirit of the tropics directly to Florida’s Gulf Coast.
