When someone is accused of killing not one but two ex-husbands, it poses a serious question about where the real problem lies. The authorities have released bodycam and car footage related to 51-year-old Susan Avalon, who is accused of killing her two former husbands on December 17, 2025, according to ABC7 WWSB. The video evidence adds some strange details to the case, as the accused reacted in varied ways when the police detained her.
“It’s really cold,” Avalon complained about things after getting arrested.
“What happened? What’s the matter?” the accused asked the deputies in the footage who handcuffed her and took her into custody in December 2025. After she was put into the police car, Avalon was seen sitting with her eyes closed, per COURT TV.
As another officer proceeded to move her to a different vehicle, the accused repeatedly complained, saying how “it’s really cold in here.” When the deputies took her to the Sheriff’s office, she again complained about the handcuffs, as she had blood clots. Avalone sat idle in the interrogation room with her head on her folded arms. She seemingly wiped her tears but didn’t make a sound.
One of Avalone’s ex-husbands’ daughters called 911 to report the shooting.
Avalon allegedly shot 55-year-old Timothy Fletcher and 44-year-old David Scott in Hillsborough County and Manatee County, respectively. She is being charged separately in both places. She reportedly used stolen Panera Bread food to lure Scott to open his door and then shot him.
“When this victim opens the door, the suspect starts to fire immediately,” per the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. Scott’s 15-year-old daughter, who was home at the time of the shooting, called 911 to report the incident.
