SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffmann presented Life Saving Awards to deputies on Tuesday. Deputies Matthew Hadnot and Luke Edwards received the Life Saving Award for saving the life of a 27-year-old woman on Feb. 28 this year.
The department said the woman was suffering from cardiac arrest and after being rushed to the HCA Doctor’s Hospital, the nursing staff advised that the early CPR performed by deputies significantly improved her chances of survival.
Deputy Daniel Traylor also received the Life Saving Award for a call made on Feb. 4 responding to an unresponsive woman lying on the pavement. Authorities said that because the deputy administered CPR and assisted the Sarasota County Fire Department before transporting the woman to the hospital, Traylor played a significant role in her survival…
