SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – As families across the Suncoast prepare to celebrate Independence Day, local officials are reminding residents that this year’s holiday comes with an important restriction.
Burn bans are now in effect in both Sarasota and Manatee counties, meaning residents cannot use personal fireworks, including sparklers, even as professional fireworks displays move forward as planned.
