SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Tomorrow brings another hot, humid day for Sarasota, Bradenton and the nearby beaches, with highs in the mid-90s and feels-like temperatures near 100 to 107. A few showers or storms may pop up, especially near the coast in the morning and farther inland late in the day. Most areas will stay dry for long stretches, but any storm could bring brief heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind.
The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area in the northern Gulf and coastal Southeastern Atlantic waters for possible development of a forecast low that might bring a good amount of rain to Florida.
Rain chances should increase Sunday through Tuesday as more moisture moves in. That does not mean a washout, but more neighborhoods could see passing downpours at times that might lead to pockets of standing water. Outdoor plans are still possible, but check radar before heading to the beach, ballfields or boat ramps…
