VENICE — “Wow, Jesus!”
There would be more to say during the dedication of the new buildings at Venice Christian School Wednesday, but those two words spoken by Principal Dona Simontchik encapsulated the emotions of the other speakers and those in attendance to mark the completion of the multi-year project – at least its near completion.
The ceremony was to be held in the new worship center, but it’s about two weeks from being finished, said Jim Foubister, president of the VCS board.
Simontchik lauded him for having spent countless volunteer hours “bringing this journey to the finish line.”…
