A 32-year-old Sarasota man was arrested Sunday after leading Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high-speed chase spanning several roadways at speeds more than 120 mph.
Darrell Horne was taken into custody without incident after deputies coordinated patrol vehicles to box in his motorcycle on U.S. 41.
The incident began around 1 a.m. when a deputy spotted a motorcycle without a license plate exiting one motel parking lot and entering another on U.S. 90, a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office news release states.
