SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – First Alert Weather Days have been declared for both Wednesday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 8 for Manatee and Sarasota counties as a stationary front combined with deep tropical moisture brings the threat of flooding rain to the region.
Rain Expected to Intensify Wednesday and Thursday
Wednesday will bring an all-day rain event, with showers possible after 9 a.m., becoming more intense during afternoon and evening hours. The heaviest rainfall is expected Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, as the stationary front remains in place.
