SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Venice city leaders say they welcome new businesses, but not everyone is excited about where they might be built. Venice Mayor Nick Pachota said at this week’s council meeting that a member raised concerns over the possibility that Chick-fil-A may build a new location on Venice Island near the Venice Airport. The member added that they worry about how the possible development could affect the charm and aesthetics of the area.
