Georgia woman arrested in cryptocurrency case out of Sarasota

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Georgia woman in a cryptocurrency grand theft case out of Sarasota. Detectives traveled to Macon, Georgia, and in coordination with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Marlita A. Andrews for grand theft, money laundering, and scheme to defraud for her part in a warrant scam that occurred in Sarasota County.
