One of the most anticipated local restaurant openings of the year will soon make its debut, joining Sarasota’s growing Rosemary District.
Arts & Central, located at 611 Central Ave. in the Parkside project at the intersection of Boulevard of the Arts and Central Avenue, will open to the public Feb. 19, said owner and general manager Dan Henson Jr.
Henson Jr., who moved to Sarasota from Texas in 2022, said Arts & Central will reflect the various places he and his family have been, including stints living in the U.K., Mexico and several other U.S. states, with his father’s time in Sonoma, California particularly serving as an influence on the restaurant.
