PALMETTO, Fla. (WWSB) – The Florida Department of Transportation held a public hearing Tuesday night for the new DeSoto Bridge Project. The DeSoto Bridge spans 1.3 miles and connects Bradenton and Palmetto. The road is also known as U.S. 41 from State Road 64 to Haben Boulevard in Manatee County.
