NORTH PORT, Fla. (WWSB) – Fire officials in North Port said Wednesday they’re keeping an extra close eye on this season’s dry weather conditions. They said the lack of rain, plus increasing temperatures have made for a few stray fires popping up in the area. One destroyed nearly two acres at the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Disc Golf Course.
