Limited afternoon and evening storms 4th of July

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Rain and thunderstorms will be the exception for the 4th of July for our beaches and coastal cities, but they will be more widespread for inland areas east of I-75. Wednesday brought a few storms. No rain was reported at SRQ, but East Sarasota had 0.19″, Lakewood Ranch a half inch (0.52″) and pasts of North Port over an inch. We have a hot 4th with “Feels Like” temps up to 110° and actual air temps in the low 90s. By fireworks time on the 4th, we’ll still be in the mid 80s, a nice warm evening for you and the mosquitoes.
