SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police announced the arrest of a man in connection to Saturday’s deadly shooting in Sarasota.
Richard Minor, 66, is facing several charges including murder and aggravated assault with a firearm, following the shooting near Hart’s Landing.
Person dies following shooting in Sarasota, police say
Sarasota police said the shooting happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. near the 900 block of John Ringling Causeway.
Around 5:45 p.m., police announced the victim had died from his injuries after they were first hospitalized with life-threatening injuries from the shooting.
Minor was taken to the Sarasota County Jail.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
