VENICE — Multiple scholarship contests with cash prizes are being offered to students by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 8118.
The Auxiliary& Post National 2024-2025 Scholarship Contests include age groups that span K-12.
There are two scholarship contests being offered by the VFW Auxiliary (grades K-8) and one by the VFW Post (grades 9-12). These are national contest but entries must be turned into local VFW 8118, which is located at 832 E. Venice Ave.
Voice of Democracy — The 2024-2025 theme is “Is America Today Our Forefathers’ Vision?” This has an entry deadline of Oct. 31 and must be turned in to local Post 8118 in Venice.
Students who are not in the Venice school system who want to participate should contact the VFW post nearest them.
