VENICE — In the wake of the 1-2-3 punch of Hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton, Venice-based Tervis has produced a special-edition tumbler, “Florida Strong.”
When a tumbler is sold, $5 of the purchase price will go to All Faiths Food Bank, the largest hunger relief organization in Sarasota and DeSoto counties.
The tumbler design resembles a traditional Florida license plate, with “Florida” at the top, “Strong” in the middle (with the “o” represented by a graphic featuring the state fruit — oranges and orange blossoms), “United We Shine” under that, and tiny outlines of the state sprinkled throughout.
On the back, the design includes the American flag and All Faiths Food Bank’s logo, and text affirms the support for All Faiths Food Bank. The color palate showcases the traditional license plate colors, green and orange.
“As a member of the community, Tervis always tries to help when a crisis arises; the recent storms have caused so much devastation and loss in our region,” said Hosana Fieber, president and CEO of Tervis. “We know All Faiths Food Bank serves as a critical resource for many community members when emergencies occur and hope that the sales of the ‘Florida Strong’ tumblers will help to bolster their operations at this difficult time.”
