NORTH PORT — Dogs and their owners are invited to take part in Woofstock 2025.
The annual event is set to take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd.
There will be a number of activities during the event that will get tongues out and tails wagging. According to a city news release, those include:
The groovy garments best dressed dog contestK-9 demonstrationsThe opportunity to connect with local businesses, learning about pet products, servicesThe chance to meet new pets and pet ownersFood from local food trucks for purchase
Local animal rescue nonprofit Rescue Garage will also be onsite to offer affordable dogs for adoption.
Pet-related donations such as food or toys are welcome.

Sponsors, too, are being sought.
There are some requirements for dogs to take part in Woofstock.
All dogs must be vaccinated, wear current tags, and remain leashed throughout the event; handlers must be at least 18 years of age; and owners must clean up after their pets.
