It’s never too early or too late to learn how to swim!

For children and parents, water safety is a vital concern. The Florida Department of Health reports that Florida ranked #1 in the country for unintentional deaths for children between the age of one and four. Teenagers who are not able to swim are also vulnerable. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, babies as young as 12 months in age can begin to learn skills that can save their lives. Water safety instruction and survival skills can be taught to children as young as one year old and, by the age of four, the Academy states that most children are ready to begin swimming lessons.
