NORTH PORT — North Port Fire Rescue rescued one dog and four cats from a house fire early Saturday morning.
NPFR worked the scene around 2:48 a.m. at the 2700 block of Yamada Lane, a street off of South Cranberry Boulevard.
The cause of the flames remains undetermined, and the State Fire Marshal will investigate further, according to NPFR officials.
Crews had their “hands full” on a “busy night,” according to NPFR social media.
But firefighters acted swiftly and rescued five pets, returning them to their “relieved owners,” the social media post stated.
There were no injuries to residents or fire department personnel.
