SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Gusty winds continued on the Suncoast with peak gusts hitting 36 mph at SRQ at least twice Monday. The strong Northwest winds brought in the cooler air behind Sunday evening’s cold front. Rain totals only hit 0.02″ at SRQ, 0.18″ in Bradenton, and only a Trace of rain (less than 0.01″) at Lakewood Ranch.
We’re tracking two more cold fronts. The first moves across Florida Thursday. We warm up ahead of the front, then cool down Friday after the front moves through. There is no significant moisture with Thursday’s front. The next one could time out for Tuesday, but the American and European computer models have a big disagreement on if, and how much, moisture may be left with that storm. More details as we get…..
