Sarasota vets build mobility ramp for 106-year-old WWII veteran

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – On Sunday, local volunteers in the community and members of SRQ Vets gathered at one special man’s house in Bradenton to build him a mobility ramp.

John Skeen was a platoon sergeant during World War II.. The 106-year-old is wheelchair bound.

The organization worked on the ramp for five hours, with materials paid for by SRQ Vets with donations from local people and businesses that share their need to care for local veterans…
