Victim of tracking device says its retaliation for 2022 ‘stand your ground’ shooting

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – A probable cause affidavit provides more details after a Sarasota accountant was accused of placing an Apple Air Tag Tracking Device in an individual’s car. The unnamed victim says she believes the device was placed as retaliation for a shooting back in 2022.

The victim, however, is not the shooter.

Bradenton Police have stressed their investigation is focusing only on the tracking device, and not with an unrelated investigation in Sarasota County dating back to 2022 in which Colon’s son, Steve Colon Jr., was shot and killed in September 2022. The department is only investigating the report of the apple air tag being placed on the woman’s car and nothing else…
