SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – A weak cold front will move through the area on Wednesday morning bringing only a few clouds and some slightly drier air. It will turn breezy during the afternoon after the front moves through the area. Those winds will turn to the NW at 10-15 mph during the late afternoon and then quickly change to the NE by early Thursday morning. Don’t expect to see the temperatures drop too much, but we will see lows on Thursday morning into the mid to upper 50s inland and near 60 at the coast.
High pressure will quickly build in behind the front and clear skies out through Saturday. We will see temperatures getting close to 90 for inland areas on Friday through Sunday which is a few degrees above average. We will also see the humidity climb by the end of the work week and continue through Sunday. Now we may see a few more clouds on Easter Sunday due to a system to our NW. That system will stay well to our north but we may see some cloudiness move in on Sunday but will still be a rainfree Easter.
The fire danger will be moderate to high at times over the course of the next few days. I don’t think we will see any fire warnings but with the drought continuing and with plenty of fuel to burn in the form of down trees and dead foliage from last years’ storms this could lead to brush fires rapidly spreading through the next couple of months.
Temperatures will stay warm through the work week next week as high pressure will stay in control…
