Gabby Petito’s body was found in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming after her family reported her missing back in 2021.
The 22-year-old had been on an adventure with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, when things went awry. In the days that followed, the FBI set out on a manhunt in hopes of questioning Laundrie. The 23-year-old had left his parents’ home in Florida and his body was later discovered in the Myakkahatchee Creek in Sarasota. Police say he had suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Police also found a journal and on the inside pages was Laundrie’s confession, thus leading police to confirm that Laundrie had killed Petito before killing himself.
