Cold front may bring rain for the weekend

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – High pressure will hold on for the next 2 days and then a weak cold front will move in. This front will bring an increase in cloudiness on Sunday with a chance for mainly afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms. This front will linger into Monday morning.

For Friday we will see partly cloudy skies with only a 10% chance for a few coastal showers or an isolated thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Saturday is looking good with generally mostly sunny skies and a few mainly inland showers and thunderstorms. The rain chance on Saturday is only 20%.

Sunday we will see increasing cloudiness with a few showers and thunderstorms as a weak cold front moves in. The timing of the front and the rain appears to be late in the morning and early afternoon. This front will stall and bring a chance for evening showers and a few thunderstorms through Sunday night and into Monday morning…
