Weak front to bring a chance for showers & T-storms

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – We will see a nice day on Saturday with mostly sunny skies to partly cloudy skies by the afternoon. There is a 20% chance for a few showers to break out late in the day mainly inland as the sea breeze develops and pushes eastward. Those storms will move toward the east away from our coast during the late afternoon and evening.

Sunday gets a bit tricky. There is a frontal boundary heading our way and will move in on Sunday. This front will then stall on Monday keeping our rain chances up a bit through Monday. On Sunday look for mostly cloudy skies at times with a good chance for a few showers and a possible thunderstorm. The rain chance is at 40% at this time.

Storms will be scattered on Sunday and could occur at anytime during the day but the most favored area will be during the afternoon and evening especially inland areas. It will be breezy on Sunday with winds out of the SW by the afternoon and it will turn a bit breezy later in the day. Winds will be rather light during the morning hours. We will see temperatures a bit cooler due to the cloud cover and rain that may be around. The high on Sunday will warm into the low to mid 80s…
