SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – All Faiths Food Bank has always relied on the compassion, time and energy of its volunteers.
They are the lifeblood of the organization’s operations and the heart of its mission to end hunger in our community. Last year, more than 3,000 “Hunger Heroes” contributed over 54,500 hours to help the food bank in its mission of ending hunger.
However, this summer, the need for volunteer support is more urgent than ever. Already, All Faiths Food Bank’s food distributions are increasing, and summer hasn’t even begun. With schools closing soon, tens of thousands of children in our area will lose access to free and reduced-price meals — often their most reliable source of nutrition…
