ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A little over a year later, the search for a man who St. Pete police said attacked a 70-year-old tram driver has come to an end.
Investigators finally tracked down Brian Leona Boggs, 37, in Maryland, where he was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Detectives said they had been searching across the United States for Boggs ever since June 8, 2024. Boggs was one of the passengers on a tram at the St. Pete pier that day.
The tram driver, known as Wally, told News Channel 8 in an interview after the incident that Boggs became extremely upset during a slight disagreement over a stroller.
Wally said the stroller was blocking seats and he had tried to move it up front, but Boggs told him, “No.” The tram driver then reached over to get his boss’ business card to give it to Boggs. That’s when Wally said the attack began…
