Sarasota man charged with possession of machine gun conversion device

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota Police have arrested an 18-year-old man for possession of a firearm equipped with a what’s called a “Glock switch,” an illegal modification that converts a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.

According to a police department post on Facebook, detectives discovered Jaquan Saunders was in possession of the device. An arrest arrant was issued for Saunders on charges including possession of a machine gun and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent.
